Eyeglasses Donations

Eyeglasses donations - Thank you for you continued donations of eyeglasses.  I dropped off 57 pairs last Sunday at the Lions Club collection box located in Walmart in Quincy.  Your generous gifts will help others. Here is some information taken directly from the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC) website:

"Changing Lives, One Pair at a Time ...

In just about any dresser drawer, one can find a pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used. That same pair of eyeglasses can change another person's life. That's why we started the Lions Recycle for Sight program. Everyone can help. Throughout the year, Lions  and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses and deliver them to their regional LERC.  LERC volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses.  The recycled glasses are then distributed to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact."

Thank you very much from your Outreach Ministry!  If you still have unused eyeglasses please bring them in for this worthy cause.  This is an ongoing project.

The many benevolences of Bethany Congregational Church are presented in the Benevolence Booklet, which can be downloaded by clicking on the link, below.  Please peruse the booklet and contact us if you would like to help.
